0:36.6	Hello, everyone. Yesterday, we discussed our annotation takeaways from Hose here with my co-host, Alexa. Everyone, yesterday we discussed our
0:39.2	annotation takeaways from Josea 1, 2, 3, and 3, 1 through 5. And now we want to go a little
0:44.5	deeper into those passages. So to start us off, Alexa, can you tell us where these two passages
0:50.2	fit in the overall story of scripture? Yeah, absolutely. If you have been following along
0:55.3	with us for the past month, you know that we have been slowly working our way through the prophets.
1:00.8	In Hosea 1-1, we see that God came to Hosea during the days of Isaiah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hesekiah,
1:07.7	the kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel. Those details tell
1:13.1	us that Jose's time of prophecy occurred before Israel's captivity and it was a pretty timultuous time.
1:19.3	If we look back in the book of kings to see what was happening when these kings ruled, it wasn't
1:23.8	very good. With the exception of Hezekiah who who still faltered, even though he was overall a good
1:29.5	king, the kings ruling over Judah and Israel were horrible kings.
1:33.9	They are said to not walk in God's ways and are known for making sacrifices to false gods,
1:38.6	which then leads Israel and Judah to do the same.
