0:39.6	we're studying Isaiah 5213 through 5312 and Mark 1045, where we will see that Jesus is the suffering
0:46.7	Messiah foretold by Isaiah. Yeah, that's right. As always, we're going to begin our discussion
0:52.3	today with the annotations for the Old Testament passage.
0:56.0	Now, today's passage is particularly lengthy. It might be the longest passage that we've studied so far.
1:01.5	So, Alexa, I thought we could divide this reading up today since it's so long.
1:05.1	So I'm going to go ahead and read half of it, which is Isaiah 50 to 13 through 53.5. And then you can pick up at verse 6 of chapter
1:14.7	53 and read all the way through verse 12. So beginning in Isaiah 52-13. See, my servant will be
1:22.5	successful. He will be raised up and lifted up and greatly exalted. Just as many were appalled at you.
1:28.7	His appearance was so disfigured and he did not look like a man.
1:32.0	And his form did not resemble a human being.
1:34.4	So he will sprinkle many nations.
1:36.4	Kings will shut their mouths because of him.
1:38.5	For they will see what had not been told them.
1:41.5	And they will understand what they had not heard.
