God's word came to John,
1:14.2	the son of Zachariah in the wilderness. He went into all the vicinity of the Jordan for claiming
1:18.9	a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, as it is written in the book of the words of the
1:24.3	prophet Isaiah, a voice of one crying out in the wilderness,
1:27.9	prepare the way for the Lord, make his path straight. Every valley will be filled,
1:32.4	every mountain and hill will be made low. Their crooked will become straight,
1:36.5	the rough ways smooth, and everyone will see the salvation of God. When all the people were
