Welcome to a year in the Bible with Daily Grace.

This year, we want to spend a few minutes with you every day walking through our study Christ and all of Scripture.

Each week we will dive deeply into two passages of Scripture, one from the Old Testament and one from the New,

seeing how they connect and point to Jesus.

Hey everyone, welcome back to Year in the Bible. My name is Alexa, and I'm here with my co-host, Beth.

My friends, this week we have looked at Judges 2, 10 through 19 and Roman 6, 15 through 23.

And we have learned how Christ sets us free from our sins so that we can walk in obedience to God.

To end our week, we want to discuss how we plan on applying all that we've learned this week.

So, Alexa, do you want to share your application takeaways? Yeah, I was really challenged this week to not feel

hopeless in my struggle with sin. Something I feel like I've been struggling with lately is my

attitude. I'm really quick to be irritable, and that's usually because I'm not getting my way

or something is happening that's

an inconvenience. So I find myself confessing that a lot to God and asking him to give me a better

attitude to be more patient and not so quick to be annoyed. But I'll pray for that in the morning,

and then an hour later, I'm irritable. And so it's really easy in those moments to want to throw up my

hands and say, well, if I just keep doing this, maybe I'll never change. Maybe this is how I am and it's

pointless to pray about it and try to act differently. But thinking that way, it causes me to think

lightly of the freedom I have for my sin. Even though it seems like I can't overcome this particular

sin, I'm not bound to it. It doesn't have power over me because Jesus has triumphed over
