Beth. Hi, friends. Today, we are going to be looking at day two of week two, where we unpack

the passage that we annotated yesterday a little bit more deeply. Now, something that's really

important to note is that this week is slightly different from all of the weeks that will follow it.

This week, we are starting with a passage from the New Testament,

whereas in future weeks we're going to be talking about the Old Testament passage first.

And then we're going to discuss where that passage falls in the whole biblical story.

But this Tuesday, we'll be just looking a little bit more closely at the context of the passage

we annotated yesterday, Luke 24-44-49.

Yeah, so when looking at Luke 24-44-49, it's helpful to zoom out just a little bit and take a

look at what Luke 24 as a whole is about. So when we open up Luke 24, we see that this chapter

is about Christ's resurrection. Luke begins this chapter

talking about the experience of the women who went to Jesus' tomb and discovered that it was

empty. So in Luke 24, 1 through 12, no one has seen the resurrected Christ just yet. But starting
