0:38.8	Thursday, the day of the week where we get to make the Christ connections between the passages
0:43.4	that we've looked at this week. This week we have read Deuneronomy 18, 15, through 19, and Hebrews 1, 1 through 2.
0:50.9	So, Beth, do you want to break this connection down for us? Yes, for sure. I think the best
0:56.0	place to go for this connection is to compare and contrast Jesus with the prophets of the Old
1:00.9	Testament. And so we've already seen how God spoke through the prophets in a different time than he
1:06.5	has through Jesus. We talked about this yesterday, how it was long ago in the days of the Old

1:11.3	Before Jesus came, God was speaking to his people through prophets. But now he speaks through
1:16.4	Christ, as Hebrews tells us. Like the prophets, Jesus is similar in that he reveals the words
1:24.1	and the heart of God. So the prophets were men of God who are messengers of God, who were
1:28.5	speaking God's words to the people. And Jesus, through his character, through the words that he
1:34.5	speaks and through his actions and ultimately through his death on the cross and his resurrection,
1:39.4	reveals who God is. He reveals God's message, the gospel, the good news of God, and he reveals God's
1:45.9	character and God's heart for his people. But unlike the prophets, Jesus reveals God perfectly
