0:38.0	Hi, friends. Yesterday we discussed the annotation day on Deuteronomy 18, 15 through 19.
0:44.2	And today, we want to go deeper into that passage and learn its context and more about what it says about God.
0:50.4	So, Beth, can you tell us where this fits in the biblical story?
0:54.4	Yeah. So this passage, since it's still from this fits in the biblical story? Yeah.
0:55.0	So this passage, since it's still from the book of Deuteronomy, actually picks up in the
0:59.4	exact same place as the Old Testament passages we've been studying for the last two weeks.
1:03.6	So this is the second generation of Israelites, and they are just about to enter into the
1:07.6	land that God has promised them and brought them to.
1:10.1	But before they do,
1:11.1	Moses is here restating the law to them. So I'm sure that some of our listeners might be like,
1:16.2	why are we spending so much time in Deuteronomy? Can we move on in the biblical story? And we're
1:22.0	with you. Like it would feel a little bit more exciting to look at another passage that deals with
1:26.9	another time in the
1:28.1	Israelites life.
