talk about the annotation day for the New Testament this week, which is on Matthew 3, 16 through 17,

which I'll read for you now. It says, when Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water.

The heaven suddenly opened for him and he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove

and coming down on him. And a voice from heaven said, this is my beloved son, whom I am well pleased.

So, Alexa, do you want to share your thoughts on today's annotation? Yeah, I thought I would talk about

the last prompt that asks us to underline the words spoken by God.

And there's a prompt that asks, what does this tell us about Jesus' identity and his actions?

So I'll start by saying that the first answer to that question is that Jesus' identity is God's beloved son.

If we go back to Exodus 4, 22 through 23, the word son in those verses is lowercase.

But in Matthew 317, the word is capitalized, showing us that this is a title.

Jesus is the son of God. And that teaches us something about Jesus' divinity, right?
