From the Jill Schwartz Memorial Library here in Sultry, Savannah, Georgia, this is

obscure season four in American tragedy.

I'm your host, your friend, your ear lover, and literary.

Mansplainer-in-Chief Michael Ian Black just returned from an eight-hour

automobiling excursion. I feel like every time I open these episodes, I'm just back from some

far-flung locale, or I'm at some far-flung locale. And I suppose that is accurate.

I mean, I seem to be traveling quite a bit.

And it's just the nature of my life and my work.

But the wife and I were motoring up from the Gulf Coast of Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, of course.

And we were visiting Martha's brother. He recently purchased

a little summer place down there in Florida, and he wanted us to come see it. So I was in,

where was I? Oh, Seattle and Tacoma and Spokane doing shows. And so I flew all the way across the country and then I flew back across the country to

meet Martha and have a couple days with her brother.

And then this week we're flying back across the country for my daughter's college graduation.

So a fair amount of travel, Too much, as always, too much

travel, too much time spent in aeroplanes over the sea. And look, did I travel over the sea?

No. But if I'm going to say aeroplanes, I'm going to reference neutral milk hotel song in an airplane over the sea.

And so if I say aeroplane, I have to say over the sea.

You probably understood that intuitively without me having to explain it.

But for those of you, you are unfamiliar with neutral milk hotels in an airplane over the sea. Now you understand. So literally

just back. I mean, we got out of the car, oh, I don't know, 45 minutes ago. And here I am recording.
