Summary

In addition to the international tragedy of wars breaking out across the globe, your host is experiencing his own American tragedy of insomnia and fatigue. Not to compare one tragedy to the other, but my American tragedy is worse. As for the book by the same title, Clyde has discovered his poor, knocked-up sister. They meet and converse and Clyde feels both resentful and conflicted regarding his own strivings. A petty psychological drama unfolds in this sparking episode.

1:21.0	gets out of whack and now I'm here and I've been home for two days.
1:24.8	Both of those evenings I have been unable to sleep. It has been horrendous. horrendous. Arendis.
1:34.4	I dislike it very much.
1:36.9	So what happens is I end up falling asleep around 3 or 3.30.
1:41.1	I sleep for a few hours.
1:42.1	I get up, but I get up too late then, you know, because the day's half over.
1:46.4	By the time I get out of bed, it's terrible. And then along with the insomnia is, if you recall when I was in Rome,
1:53.8	and maybe you don't recall, but I lost my appetite.
1:56.9	And that also has recurred.
2:00.9	And along with that, if you recall, I got burpee, you know, when I lost my appetite, I got burpee. Well, I've been burpee lately too, so if you hear me belching and wheezing and moaning and coughing and gasping, you'll understand why. I am a human wreck. I am a shell of a human being.
2:18.0	All of that being said I'm in a fairly good mood and happy to be engaged with you again on this all
2:24.9	hallows Eve I am recording on Halloween and when we were living in Connecticut
