season four in American tragedy. I'm your host, your friend, your ear lover, and literary

Memorial Reading Throne, and I had some oral surgery yesterday, which is when I would have

normally recorded this podcast and the oral surgery, as you can imagine, kind of knocked me

out for the day. Not to mention

creating various wounds and lacerations in my mouth. For the past, well, I don't know, a long

time now. My teeth have just been falling out. You know, I just lose teeth every now and again.

I've lost three of them in the last, oh, I don't know, maybe 15 years. That's one

every five years or so. It's not so terrible. But now I'm trying to deal with it. So I went

in yesterday. They put me under. They dug around. They tore out an old tooth like a tree stump,

and they did some bone ground. I don't know what they did,

but that was me yesterday. I got home at like three in the afternoon, went into the guest

bedroom, and really didn't emerge except once for dinner, soft foods, and then again at about

6.30 the following morning when I had decided I've probably slept enough.

But that was only step one. I guess there's more steps because I still don't have teeth in my mouth.

So I got to, you know, they did step one. And then I go back in a couple weeks. And then I got to

go to the dentist and do more of that. And then who knows. But hopefully, within a few months, I'll just have a

mouthful of delicious-looking pearlies, and you'll be, you'll see me smile, and you go, God,

that's a gorgeous smile on that fella. Where did he get that smile? And I'll be able to tell you,

I bought it. It remains now, we're in mid-March,

and the aides of this month have just passed, and the passing of Julius Caesar seems
