Summary

The Kentucky gubernatorial election is coming down to the wire, and a young, charismatic Democratic incumbent might have lessons for other Democrats in tough races. As luck would have it, we have our own charismatic red state Democrat to break it all down with Sarah and offer suggestions for fixing American politics: former Ohio Congressman and U.S. Senate candidate Tim Ryan.

0:30.1	so naturally we wanted to talk to Kentucky voters who voted for Bashir in
0:34.2	2019 and then for Trump in 2020. I'm also wondering what lessons a
0:39.2	Red State Democrat like Bashir leaves for the rest of the party because the 2024 Senate map is littered with
0:46.0	Red State Democrat incumbents like Joe Mansion in West Virginia and shared Brown and Ohio
0:51.1	and we've got focus groups out on deck from people who voted for those
0:54.3	Democrats and for Trump. Now I've got a guest today who knows a bit about
