Hey guys so I'm about to bring you my conversation with JBL about the state of the race and the state of swing voters because that's who we're talking to and you know the five months we have to go until this election but the news gods intervene this week as Donald Trump was convicted on all 34 felony counts in the Manhattan

Business Records case after we taped. So this episode doesn't reflect that, but you better believe there'll be an episode about Trump's conviction soon as we catch up with voters and hear how it does or does not affect how they are thinking about this race.

Hello everyone and welcome to the Focus Group podcast. I'm Sarah

Longwell publisher of the poll work and this week with only five months to go in

the longest presidential election ever, we are taking stock of our

hundatry. Despite some twists and turns, we've basically known for three years that we were

likely headed for a Trump-Biden rematch.

And frankly, the polls are not where we want them to be right now if you're a never-Tumper,

like me and my guest.

It seems like every Sunday morning we're greeted with another poll showing Joe Biden losing most

or all of the swing states.

So we're going to take stock of where things have gone wrong so far and what the Biden team might do to fix them

because we are heading into the home stretch but the most important moments of

this campaign are still in front of us.
