I didn't see Wicked on Broadway until 2019.

And I only just started watching Law and Order SvU,

a full 26 years after it premiered.

It's a comforting show,

as everyone could have told you for the past two decades,

because Olivia Benson and Ice Tea almost

always get their guy before the end credits roll. If a young wife and mother of three goes missing,

her husband will always be the first person they suspect. And even if he eventually ends up cleared,

it's only after multiple interrogations in which one of the detectives

inevitably slams a chair down and says something like, don't mess with me, pal, we got you on tape
