Growing up in the rural part of Ohio, my brothers and I quickly learned that we needed to entertain ourselves if we were to stay sane.

This included, but didn't limit us to activities such as playing backyard sports, building forts, and creating adventures. One of those particular adventures was an activity that is now known as legend tripping.

Well into our adulthood, we would spend many a night driving the back roads of Southeast Ohio,

searching out rumored ghostly hotspots and known paranormal epicenters.

Typically, during these excursions, we only ended up scaring ourselves.

But on the rare occasion, something would happen that would give one pause.

That little burst of adrenaline would be enough to carry us on to the next adventure.
