I recently participated in the True Crime and Paranormal Festival in Denver, Colorado, where I was lucky

enough to meet some great podcasters and listeners.

I was particularly interested in the independent podcasters whose work highlights personal or otherwise

little-known cases. Family members and loved ones who have a missing loved one

and who have diligently gathered and compiled all the information and evidence to try to bring their loved one home.

Today's episode is about one of those missing loved ones.

Just a quick note before we dive in, the bulk of the information in this episode came from the Hassel family, in particular Bethany Hassel.

They put together a very comprehensive document with history, timeline, and pertinent facts.

There is not a lot of coverage on this case,

so if I don't cite something, you can assume it came from the family's document. When Steve Hassel returned home from a trip to Tennessee on November 15th, 2021,

he knew before even going inside the apartment he shared with his son Brian Vladdick that something wasn't right.

A package Steve had ordered was sitting by the front door.

Vladdick should have brought the package in when it got there like he promised his dad he would.
