The whiteboard eraser I was using wasn't erasing, no matter how much pressure I applied.

I sat there on the floor of my room trying to erase four years of whiteboard and notes.

They were faded and stained.

This particular whiteboard had been in three different houses and survived hours of baking

and storage units.

And now none of the words on it wanted to come off.

I'm trying to erase four years of plans.

Four years of carefully crafted detailed weekly lists and calendar commitments in four

years of poor execution.

But they aren't coming off and even when I go to the spray bottle at certain angles,

I can still see the ghosted outlines of the words and diagrams I've put on this whiteboard

for the last four years.

So I ordered a new whiteboard and a brand new fresh tip to dry erase marker and after

putting it up and carefully finding the very center of the board, I wrote the contract

in all caps and I underlined it perfectly with a ruler.

The other whiteboard is in the trash because this year is not going to be like the rest.
