Security was tightened in New York City today after two Palestinian men were arrested for plotting to bomb the city's subway system.

They said at least one of the men had lunged for one of the bomb switches before he

was shot. It's early morning, July 31st, 1997. The NYPD's Emergency Service Unit has just stormed

an apartment in Brooklyn, stopping what could have been America's first suicide bombing. Two suspects are in custody and terrified neighbors are being evacuated.

Now it's the bomb squad's turn.

They must approach and dismantle the deadly pipe bombs.

They're under immense pressure with no room for error.

How many feet per second is this blast going to carry?
