Summary

Jazmin was stalked by a man from her college. Jazmin befriended an awkward student in high school and spent time together when they ended up attending the same college. When their friendship started going downhill, she ended it, and he began stalking her because he thought they were in a relationship. Jazmin moved out of her apartment to escape him, but then he moved a block away from her new place and continued stalking her. Jazmin fought back to keep him away from her and off campus through a Title IX hearing. Now, she is advocating for House Bill 1715, which would provide comprehensive protections for victims of domestic violence and other violence involving family members or intimate partners. 1:12.0	What was your family life like growing up?
1:15.0	My family life was really simple, really easy.
1:19.0	Kind of grew up in the country. I would always be outside whether I'd be playing in the mud but when I was inside we'd always be playing family games.
1:28.0	Both my parents are kind of blue collar workers and I have one older brother who's the best and we were just a great little tight knit family.
1:37.0	Did you have a lot of friends?
1:39.0	I was always the type of person who had a lot of acquaintances but I only considered a couple of friends really close and the ones who were close met the world to me.
1:51.0	When you started high school what was that experience like for you?
1:54.0	Well it was a little bit nerve-wracking. I would say I went to a really big high school.
2:00.0	A really big high school. My graduating class was massive.
2:04.0	You know this high school had a lot of funding so it was very intimidating to be essentially on a college campus but in high school.
2:14.0	But I conquered it and nonetheless I got into theater.
