Jazmin was stalked by a man from her college. Jazmin befriended an awkward student in high school and spent time together when they ended up attending the same college. When their friendship started going downhill, she ended it, and he began stalking her because he thought they were in a relationship. Jazmin moved out of her apartment to escape him, but then he moved a block away from her new place and continued stalking her. Jazmin fought back to keep him away from her and off campus through a Title IX hearing. Now, she is advocating for House Bill 1715, which would provide comprehensive protections for victims of domestic violence and other violence involving family members or intimate partners.
