I'm Megan Clowardy, and if you've listened to this podcast before, we are relaunching the first season with new content, calling it 22 hours a second look.

It has been 10 years since the murders of Sava and Amy Savopoulos, their son, Philip, and their housekeeper Vera Figueroa in their D.C. mansion.

At the time, I worked as a reporter for WTOP in D.C. And in this re-release, you'll hear updates

and voices that you haven't heard before. We also have a new season coming next year.

This podcast is a retelling of the trial of Darren Wendt, who was convicted in their

killings and is serving four life sentences.

As we relaunch, we're giving listeners an update on the Savopoulos family's two surviving

daughters, Abigail and Katarina.

In the first interview, given by the Savopoulos family since the crime, Abigail spoke

with me exclusively about a range of topics, from where she was on the day her family

was killed, to how she's navigating her loss and the specific challenges of parenting without

her parents.

You'll also hear more about what happened when I reached out to the killer,

Darren Wint, who is now in prison, and learn what happened to the family's mansion in Washington, D.C.

We speak with Sava's former assistant, Jordan Wallace,

and we'll also pull back the curtain, so to speak, on how Jack Julie and I created the original podcast and the challenges we ran into, since this was the first time we'd ever attempted a project like this.
