0:44.9	Good to be back. You've been here before. We've got two books today, two shorter books.
0:49.2	I want you to start off by just giving us a brief kind of contextual overview of these books.
0:55.3	Yeah, yeah, absolutely. These two books are written by the apostle John near the end of his life,
1:01.5	likely after he wrote his gospel. And there's not a whole bunch of context, but what we can
1:07.5	pick up is that there's some type of false teaching permeating into the church, and he's wanting to counteract that.
1:13.5	So he is, and his two purposes are to counteract false teaching. And then he wants to give true assurance and true fellowship within the church as well.
1:22.3	And so that's as much about we can take from context. And it's something that we're going to be able to explore today.
