Thanks for joining. Today, we're reading Acts 18 through 20 answering the question, how can the church stay healthy as it grows?

When I was little, I had a friend who used to line up dominoes across the living room floor.

0:20.8

Rows and rows of them, winding under furniture and around corners, we'd spend forever setting

0:27.0

them up. Because everyone knows the setup is the hard part. You touch one domino too early,

0:32.1

and the whole thing collapses before it's ready. But when everything was finally in place, we'd tap the first piece and just

1:18.5

and fill in the gaps. The chain keeps going. Every person plays their part, and the gospel

1:24.8

keeps spreading. It's a domino effect of faithfulness. One person's

1:29.2

obedience sets another in motion until the movement of God sweeps far beyond anything one person

1:35.0

could accomplish alone. The truth is, a lot of us love the idea of God doing something big,

1:42.0

but we underestimate the power of doing something small but faithfully.

1:47.0

We forget that the mission of God doesn't move forward

1:50.1

through a few famous leaders alone.

1:52.3

It moves through ordinary believers
