0:25.6	Let's jump into John 10.
0:27.6	And it's in this chapter that we see that Jesus calls himself the good shepherd who lays down his life for the sheep.
0:33.6	Throughout your life, Sammy, how have you come to know and trust Jesus as your shepherd
0:39.7	over the years? That's a great question that I live to share, Emma, so thank you for asking that
0:44.5	question. You're welcome. As a young child, really, as a preschooler, I always had a sense of knowing
0:50.9	that God loved me, which is really cool as an adult now because I wasn't raised
0:55.4	in a Christian home.
0:57.1	So from a very, very young age, I had that sense.
1:01.9	But as a teenager, I started to search and read the Bible, went to different churches,
1:08.4	trying to discover what it was I was missing. But it wasn't until I was in
1:14.0	my early 20s that my eternal life began. And I accepted Christ as my Savior and my Lord. And I began
1:22.8	to walk with him. But at first, as I began to walk with him, I was a box checker. I had been raised as an
1:32.9	only child with a very tempestuous family, very violent. And so I became a rule follower,
