Today, we're reading Matthew 24 through 25 answering the questions.

In Matthew 24, Jesus talks about the end times, but what are the parts we're actually supposed to understand and apply today?

And what do the parables in Matthew 25 teach us about how to live while we wait for Jesus's return?

But before we dive in, today's topic reminded me of a moment from earlier this year.

I'll never forget sitting at an airport gate this summer when my flight kept getting

delayed.

First 30 minutes, then an hour, then another.

Everyone around me was groaning, getting restless, pulling out snacks out of boredom, not hunger,

rebooking connections.

Honestly, I started to wonder if we'd ever take off.

But here's the thing, you can't just wander off and go explore a terminal.

Even if you get tired of waiting, the boarding announcement could come at any moment.

You have to stay close, pay attention, and be ready.

Because when the gate agent finally calls your group and says, hey, that last flight attendants here, you don't have time to sprint across the terminal.

It's time to get on the plane.

And that's a little like what Jesus is saying in Matthew 24 and 25.
