What was Jeremiah's warning to Baruch in Jeremiah 45? And you get to work with Join the Journey some, which is exciting. I do. Why don't you share a little bit about what God's done in your life and then what you're up to |

| 0:40.3 | Yeah, absolutely. |
| 0:41.3 | So I grew up in the church. |
| 0:44.3 | I was a pastor's kid for the early part of my life, just North DFW area. |
| 0:50.3 | And really my faith was all intellectual. |
| 0:53.3 | My parents met in seminary, so I learned how to read with my Jesus' storybook Bible. |
| 0:58.5 | Nice. |
| 0:59.3 | Had seen the Lord really do kind of a miracle health-wise with my eyes, which is a story for another day. |
| 1:06.6 | But, yeah, I came to faith at an early age, but really that was rocked. |
| 1:10.5 | My dad left when I was 10 and abandoned the family. |
| 1:13.6 | And so that was really hard for me to grapple with at that age and hearing God as a father and just not having a great picture of that. |
| 1:20.1 | And so that kind of left me really jaded, really cynical toward the church, toward God, toward other people, honestly. |
| 1:26.0 | And just kind of spent most of my middle, high school, |
| 1:29.1 | early college, just really living for myself and kind of put me in a dark spot. |
