And then I started having episodes of sleep paralysis.

A trip to the local library for some research got me up to speed on the mechanics of it.

And even though they were still terrifying, at least I knew it wasn't a demon trying to eat me.

I was able to handle them a bit better, and eventually I was able to stave off panic long enough

to actually pay attention to the sights and sounds that I was experiencing during these episodes.

She's been a listener for quite a while.

But, you know, I have to say prefacing this that a lot of people, and I think pretty much everybody has a story or stories of strangeness that they've experienced.

But oftentimes people are like, well, I don't know if it was

really that cool or that weird or that wild. And we have this Hollywood notion of what paranormal

needs to be, like it needs to be, you know, the Amityville horror or the Exorcist or, you know,

poltergeist. And quite honestly, most paranormal experiences are, you know, just once in a while,

something weird happens.
