Good morning and welcome to Pints with Jack, a podcast by two enthusiastic CS Lewis

Amateurs, get together, share a beverage, and discuss a work of C.S. Lewis. And this season,

we've been reading through till we have faces. But today is one of our after-hours episodes.

I'm joined by author and illustrator, Lena Maslow, who, assuming that coronavirus hasn't thrown

it off, who today should have released an illustrated children's book about Lewis,

which is called Through the Wardrobe, How C.S. Lewis Created Narnia.

So, first of all, a little bit about her.

Lena Maslow is an author and illustrator with a degree in art from New College of Florida.

Though she spent most of her childhood in Florida, she was born in

Ukraine and came to the United States at the age of five. Lina's debut book, Free as a Bird,

The Story of Malala, is published by Bulsa and Bray of Harper Collins. It's a library guild

selection as well as a 2019 CCBC choice and the winner of the Living the Dream

Book Award. Lena lives with her husband and children in South Carolina and she's an actor

member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and you can find her on Instagram and
