Summary

Jay and Ambridge are in the woods. Soon they come across some more alien vegetation. It's growing. Ambridge wants to keep moving because he feels they're close to Denver. The screeching of thrashers and the hum of a large ship seem to prove Ambridge right. Denver is just ahead and it has been destroyed. Regardless, they make their way into the city. Will they find Ambridge's parents? Or is it too late?
