Yes, and good morning. Welcome to Pints with Jack, a podcast where two enthusiastic CS-Lewis amateurs get together, share a beverage, and discuss a work of C.S. Lewis.

And this season, we're going to be reading Till We Have Faces.

My name is David, and I'm joined by Matt Too Cool for School, Bush.

Did you think of that on the spot? Because in notes, it just has in parentheses,

nickname. Yes, well, since you're disparaging comments about my haikus, I need a creative outlet.

So I've decided that for this season, every time I introduce you, I'm going to come up with a

really cool nickname for you. That's really great because in high school I was the opposite of the too cool for school

person.

I was a nerd.

So this is really nice that later in life I get to take on the cool kid role.

And also when I met your mother, she was encouraging me to encourage you and be affirming.

So most of these nicknames will be quite nice.

That's why I love my mother. And I also want to take a little bit of, I don't know, maybe the word was beef.

Are we still amateurs after going to a CS-Lewis conference in Montre?

I mean, wouldn't we be now like intermediates?

No, if anything, our status as amateurs is now in jeopardy,

because I'm not sure if we're even that good.

That is true. I saw the gap when one of the speakers had read 350, every single one of

the inkling's works. I'm like, oh man, I haven't even read all of Lewis's works. I'm claiming

to do a podcast on him. You haven't even read all of Narnia.
