My name is Stacey and Alicia. We're continuing the Brigitte Bardot arc.

Exactly that we are, Stacey. I am Alicia. Thank you one and all for joining us for so much more marital misadventure. We have only made it through

one husband of Brigitte Bardot. She did have a total of four, and that is like the least part

of the trashy sitch going on here. Today we are going to be taking the French actress through

about six particularly trashy years.

From 1958 to 1963, we're taking Brigitte through her second marriage and subsequent divorce from Jacques Charié

through motherhood, and I use that term very loosely, and Brigitte's growing disillusionment with the whole fame thing.

We would normally say, let's go, go, go, but in the style of the French, al-Z. Bruget Bardot, the story that just keeps on giving.

I swear every time I think I've got a handle on it, Stacey, I'm like, nope, there's so much more.

So let's go ahead and pick up this part

two. We're going to pick the story up in 1958. Husband number one, Roger Vadim, out. Hubby number

one, done, and dusted. Remember Brigitte's affair with her co-star in And God-Created

woman with Jean-Louis Trentignon, busted up her marriage, busted up his

marriage. They are still seeing each other. Brigitte Bardot has purchased her own home in

San Trope after filming that movie, and she's sort of looking for a little solace, looking to find

her own private paradise. But hey, Brigitte Bardo is the most

famous woman in the world. And she's kind of single-handedly responsible for putting this

sleepy tiny fishing village on the map. And so by summer 1958, all kinds of folks are flocking

to the place to enjoy the town, shore, but also to stalk Brigitte Bardot.

And here, early days, she's strolling around barefoot in bathing suits with her new lover, Sasha Distell, and Jean-Louis is still around, but how many lovers is really too many anyway?

I'm going to go a little bit further in the story and give you this fact.
