My name is Kristen and my name is Katie and we want to spend a few minutes a day with you walking through the New Testament one chapter at a time. This year we will fix our gaze upon Christ so that we may know him not only with our minds but with our hearts. Together we will learn that who Jesus is changes everything.
0:23.0	Hey friends, welcome back to a year in the Bible daily grace. My name is Katie, and it's my joy
0:28.1	to walk with you through Revelation in our year-long study of the New Testament. Today, we are
0:33.5	studying Revelation 5. As always, you can follow along with the Behold Studies in our Daily Grace Coe Shop or with

0:46.0	Yesterday, we turned a corner in our study so far.
0:49.1	Chapter 1 was John's commission.
0:51.2	Chapters 2 and 3 were letters to the churches that Revelation is
0:54.4	addressed to, and chapters four and five serve as an introduction to what myths take place
1:00.4	after this, as Jesus says in chapter four, verse one.
1:04.3	Yesterday's chapter provided a beautiful description of God's throne room, and today,
1:09.1	we will find Jesus there.
1:13.6	We will see that he is the only one worthy to sit at God's throne room. And today, we will find Jesus there. We will see that he is the only one worthy to sit at God's right hand, the only one worthy to enact God's judgment, salvation,

1:26.9	Today's chapter is a continuation of yesterday's
1:29.1	scene. In God's right hand, Jesus sees a scroll with writing on both sides sealed with seven seals.
1:36.8	These scrolls are likely a reference to Ezekiel 2, 9 through 10, where Ezekiel sees a scroll
1:42.6	with writing on both sides that contains the words
1:45.9	of lamentation, mourning, and woe. What's written in these scrolls is the remainder of revelation,
1:52.1	all that must take place to rid the world of evil and usher in a new heaven and a new earth.
