0:32.7	Today, we are studying Revelation 11.

0:43.0	Remember how we've talked about Revelation as apocalyptic literature, and because it's apocalyptic, it's incredibly symbolic.
0:51.9	Well, today we will get a heavy dose of that symbolism. Just like yesterday, today
0:57.9	we find ourselves in an interlude between the sixth and the seventh trumpets. Toward the end of our
1:03.3	chapter today, we will read about the sounding of the seventh trumpet. As we read, we will be reminded
1:09.6	that God spiritually protects this church, but the spiritual
1:13.8	protection does not exempt the church from being persecuted until Jesus returns. Let's dive into
1:20.4	chapter 11. This chapter probably left you with a lot of questions. What temple is John measuring? Who are the witnesses?
1:30.2	Hopefully today's episode will help you into your understanding. We start out with John being given
1:35.8	a measuring rod to measure a temple and count those who are worshipping there. Due to the
1:41.3	symbolic nature of revelation and the fact that the New Testament describes those in Christ as a temple of God, this temple is likely symbolic of the church.
1:51.1	By counting the worshippers in the temple, John symbolizes God's sovereign and merciful protection over each and every believer.
1:59.7	He numbers you. God will deliver each and every believer. He numbers you.
2:01.7	God will deliver each and every Christian into eternal rest,
