0:30.3	with you in our year-long study of the New Testament. Today we are studying

0:43.0	Yesterday, Paul highlighted an important word to us,

0:48.0	This is a super important theological term,
0:50.0	and maybe one of those words that we could read past, assume the meaning, and then move on.
0:56.0	But let's define it again because Paul will come back to justification today.
1:00.0	Justification is the act at the time of salvation by which believers are made right with God
1:06.5	declared innocent of their sin all because of Christ's forgiveness. A believer's slate is wiped clean. God no longer counts their sin
1:16.0	against them past, present, and future. It's a marvelous, almost inconceivable
1:21.1	forgiveness. A believer is made righteous by their faith in Jesus.
1:25.7	Today Paul will settle in on this truth that justification comes through faith.
