The Hello and welcome to Deep Cuts. I am your co-host Rebecca McKendry and we have a really fun

episode tonight. So we always do our top 10 list at the end of the year where we count down

our top 10 favorite titles of the year.

But we decided to also do something fun where we count down our discoveries of the year.

And so joining me tonight, as always, is my co-host, Elric Kane.

How you doing?

I'm good. I escaped a snowbound Canada, and I only got here, I think at like midnight yesterday.

Oh my God. Those pictures looked insane. It looked so cold and so snowy.

I realized when I was, when I got there that I hadn't actually been in snow in almost maybe 15 years.

And it was when I was living in Chicago, which was always cold in winter, but not really snowstormy, at least not from my memory.

And this was more like, yeah, I got to Saskatoon and there's snow on the ground.

I was like, whoa, this is cold, had to get a new jacket.

And this is Saskatoon in Saskatchewan in Canada.

And I was like, okay, but it got worse and worse. And the long story short,

yes, I was there for the Saskatoon Fantastic Film Fest. Big thanks to John Allison, who programmed it

and the folks of the Broadway theater had a really great time. But I will say, I watched two films

the morning that my film was, this like the third day

is going to be there Saturday where my film's going to play and about 45 minutes before my

film played.

That's when the snowstorm hit and the streets closed and I was sitting there going, oh, wow,
