Hello and welcome to colors of the dark. Happy Halloween, or I guess this is actually the day

after Halloween. So I hope you all had amazing Halloween evenings. Elric Kane, how was yours?

I haven't lived it yet. I'm like literally pre-living. No, we are recording on our normal Tuesday. So we have

one more day. I have to get my pumpkins tomorrow and carve them. This is late for me,

but I'm going to do it all the night before. I don't feel like I've lived otherwise.

We carved last night while watching the baseball game. So yeah, we're all set on the carving.

I saved all the seeds because my favorite thing in the world to do is coat them in season salt and way too much like saracha.

And then you fry them.

And it just makes a wonderful spicy treat.

While we're on this topic, I'm going to use this moment to plug a short film.

A guy I met Brian Ferguson at Fright Fest in the UK. He has a short that played there, and it's like the perfect seasonal short. I know this is now the day after, but it's about what we're talking about, which is pumpkin guts. That's the name of the film. It's called Pumpkin Guts, and it's basically, I think it's shot, I assumed it was England or Ireland. But it's basically 7080s. And it opens with a girl who's freaking out because all the, every year, a different kid from their class goes missing. And basically, you get, if you're the one who's called out, a pumpkin arrives on your doorstep that you have to open up and inside it has a name and directions for something that you're going to have to do to somebody else, or the thing will come for you, this pumpkin creature. And definitely, definitely, I know he's saying he wants to make into a feature. It definitely has that kind of hook, but it was a really fun short. It's like 11 minutes. watched it today and I was like, oh, I got to give that a plug because it was fun. And the fact
