WOW. What a great episode. Phil de la Haye is back with his in-depth teaching of Internal Family Systems (IFS). Today we follow up on our previous episode to really deepen your understanding of this amazing transformation work. I am planning to do it myself. Although there are no bad parts (!) there are a lot of really protective aspects of our personalities that contribute greatly to TMS. Join us today as we discuss the many ways to know ourselves, and walk through concrete exercises that really move the needle. xoxo n.

As promised in the ep, here are the questions we posed to the protective part when journalling after a target part has been identified:

(Go slow, pause, close your eyes and wait to see if an answer arises. Try and make it a gentle inquiry rather than an inquisition).

What else? (you can ask this as many times as you like)

what is your job/role?
Are there parts of my body where you hang out?
When did you take on this job?
What was going on for me back then?
How old are you?
How old do you think I am?
Do you like your job?
If yes: is there a downside to it?
Is what you’re doing working?
What are you afraid would happen if you stopped doing this?
Are you willing to tell me about the part/s you’re protecting?
What do you need from me?
How can I collaborate with you?
Do other parts give you a hard time?
Do other people give you a hard time?
Is there anything else you want me to know about you and what you do for me?

Today we have an awesome interview. It is my second interview with Phil De la Hay. He is a TMS mind body coach as well as an IFS

practitioner. So that stands for internal family systems. He and I met once before, as you might recall on the

podcast. And he explained to me and actually did a little, in last podcast a little exercise with me on IFS and the different

Parts that we all have inside of us our emotional history our, has created all these little parts, you know, our protectors and our firefighters and those that need protecting.

And we're going to get all into it today because it's really really fascinating stuff so much so

that after this interview with Phil I really said to myself I want to do some IFS work for myself.

It was such a jam-packed interview that we didn't even have time to really talk about my experience of doing the exercise that Phil takes us through,

but I did really have a very powerful,

energetic and emotional experience

while listening to him and following the steps that you'll be able to do for yourself in just a few minutes.

And I really think I might do this for myself a little bit.

into it how healing it can be and how much it comports with all the TMS work that I'm always
