0:11.3	topic, I have on Angela Z. So thanks so much for coming on Angela. Super excited to have you on
0:16.3	this show. Feel free to introduce yourself. Thanks, Ashley. It is Crowley, by the way. He used to tell his students,
0:24.8	those who know me wholly, call me Crowley, those who think me foully, call me Crowley. So my name is
0:31.8	Angela, and I have been a gardenarian initiate since 1997, so going on 24 years, and I have been a coven
0:41.1	leader for 17 of those years. I am also an initiate of the Ordo Templi Oriontas. I have been an
0:47.7	initiate there of the OTO for 10 years. Wow, that's pretty impressive. It's kind of my life. I dig it.
0:55.9	Cool.
0:56.8	So I guess where do you want to start about this topic?
0:59.7	So I'm thinking a lot of people listening may have heard this name being thrown around before,
1:04.1	but maybe I know a lot about him or his influences.
1:07.8	So do you want to maybe talk a little bit about, like, who is this man?
1:12.3	Who is this person I see talking about on the internet all the time?
1:15.7	Sure. I would love to jump into that. I feel like Alistair Cruelly and the whole issue of
1:21.8	high magic is sometimes avoided by people first exploring Wicca because it's such a vast topic.
1:27.4	There's so much to explore. A lot of it can be
1:29.4	very intimidating. So I think starting with his actual life and who he was is a great jump off. So if we
1:37.4	look at Alistair Cruelly, he's born in 1875 in England. He's born into a fairly wealthy family.
1:45.6	His family owns a brewery.
1:47.6	They are evangelical Christians.
1:49.7	So he is raised with a very good education and with a heavy influence of Christianity.
