Welcome back to Girls Next Level podcast, everybody.

Today we're doing something totally different and talking about a completely different show,

but you guys have requested this one.

We're going to talk about keeping up with the Kardashians and the episode in season one where Kim poses for Playboy.

So season one, episode four. And can I just tell you, this is the first Kardashian episode I've ever

watched. Really? It's the first whole episode I've watched from the early years.

Like, I've seen some of the newer ones, because remember when we were talking to Jeff about

possibly doing a show, I was like, what are people even doing on reality TV these days?

Yeah.

So I watched like an episode of Real Housewives, an episode of that to see what was going on.

But yeah, and I've seen this one from back in the day when it happened. So I think I should give

some background on the series a little bit. On the Kardashian series? Okay. And just how it came to be just

because like our show was on E at the same time and everything. And all this information is like stuff I

remember from Chris Jenner's book or stuff I heard from E executives. So Chris had been wanting to do

a reality show for a while. And Kim wanted to do one. And originally they were pitching it

as like the three sisters, Kim, Chloe, and Courtney.

And he had signed Ryan Crest on to a deal. And Ryan knew the Kardashians and wanted to do the show.

And he'd had some of the executives that he meet with the three girls. And the one executive who had told me this was like, you know, the girls are lovely,

you know, but I don't really see it as a show, but Ryan kept pushing it, pushing it. No, you got to meet

with them again and not, I don't know. And he goes, but you have to see them with Chris and Bruce.

And she's like, okay, so she goes to dinner at their house one night and she's like, oh, I get it now. It was about like
