Summary

TW: this episode references weight loss, including intentional weight loss Sometimes it feels like we can't avoid conversations about weight loss, fitness, and health, so in today's episode we're becoming part of the conversation. To be honest, we were a bit nervous about recording this episode because of our own relationships with fitness and how triggering any mention of weight loss can be for lots of people, including us. But this episode was one of the few weight loss conversations we didn't come out of feeling triggered, and that's thanks to Ben: the no bullshit personal trainer who *shock* advocates for people in bigger bodies. He's one of the good ones and gave us a bit of hope! We chatted about some weight loss myths, like "eat less, move more" and 🚀SUPERFOODS🚀, the harm of commenting on people's bodies, the toxicity of (some parts) of the fitness industry, and had some really honest conversations about intentional weight loss.
