Summary

The rugged Sonoran Desert covers approximately 100,000 square miles and includes most of the southern half of Arizona, southeastern California, most of the Baja California peninsula and much of the Mexican state of Sonora. It is the hottest desert in both the United States and Mexico, and there is a lack of water and forageable food to be found there. Between the hot day temperatures, the freezing night temperatures, and intimidating predators such as mountain lions and bobcats prowling around, the Sonoran Desert is the last place you would want to venture out into without proper clothing or supplies, but it appears that this is exactly what 24-year-old geologist Daniel Robinson did on June 23rd, 2021. Reportedly, Daniel drove into the desert and was never seen again, although his vehicle was discovered on its side in a ravine almost a month later. But during the investigation, details began to emerge that added mystery to this tragedy; Reports from friends and family of Daniel’s odd behavior in the days leading up to his disappearance, all of Daniel’s pictures on Instagram being erased around the time he went missing, and evidence from Daniel’s vehicle that suggested foul play. Dozens of searches have been conducted for Daniel over the past 19 months, and although human bones and human remains have been uncovered, none of them led back to Daniel Robinson. Hello everybody, welcome back to Crime Weekly. I'm Stephanie Harlow.

0:17.4

And I'm Derek Lovacer.

0:18.7

So today we are picking up with Part 2 and the final part of the Daniel Robinson case

0:26.4

before we dive in. Is there anything that you want to say?

0:29.6

Well, real quick, we were just talking about it while we were recording the ads for

0:32.9

this episode. We know you guys love the ads. I'm kidding. We do love the ads because

0:36.8

they sponsor the channel. They allow us to do what we're doing every week and to offer

0:41.4

it to you guys for free. So we're all about it. And we hope that you guys, if you're looking

0:45.5

for products similar to what we're talking about in these episodes that you do use them.

0:49.8

And you use our code because that lets them know that you're coming from us. So a lot,

0:53.7

I get a lot of messages from you guys about certain sponsors like, hey, you were talking

0:57.9

about this last episode. What was the code for it? I've been doing it for a while, but it's

1:02.1

my fault. I never mentioned it. If you click the description box for either audio or YouTube,

1:06.8

you just scroll down. It says ads every ad or sponsor that we talk about in each episode

1:11.6

will be right there. It's kind of a repeat of the call to action that I give at the end

1:15.8

of every ad and it's the link right there for you with the code. So it's really self-explanatory,

1:21.2

super simple to do. So if you're looking for a product, even if you're not looking for

1:24.4

it right away, but then down the road you are, if you're like, hey, I remember it was in

1:28.0

that episode. All you got to do is go back to it. It's right there for you. And again,

1:31.8

these guys are sponsoring us. It helps grow the channel. It helps us allow, allows us

1:35.6

to do what we do. So we appreciate it. And we know sometimes you guys get a little annoyed

1:39.6

by it, but it's a necessary evil when you're doing this and you're offering it for free
