Is it spooky season yet?

0:31.7

Can we call it spooky season?

0:33.0

Today, officially, October 1st, when I'm recording this, it is spooky season.

0:37.7

Okay.

0:38.3

You may begin.

0:39.8

Well, I already began because I'm going to kick us off by talking about a lot of the haunted houses that I went to last week.

0:46.0

But yeah.

0:46.7

Okay.

0:47.0

So how do you kick off spooky season?

0:50.2

Normally I do it by going somewhere, like it would be some sort of haunted or watching something spooky. I'll be going to some Beyond Fest type stuff soon on Saturday. You've got the old nighter at the new bib, so I'm excited about that's usually the kind of thing where I'm like, ooh, that felt like something has begun. Last year, we were at a lot of film festivals, so I didn't have a normal start to it. But I think having like a pumpkin spice, I didn't do it today. I thought that I was going to do it. I just forgot. So probably by Friday, I'll have like the pumpkin spice latte and just be like, all right, it's spooky seas. And put up the decorations. I start that like this weekend. Yeah, we're doing it on Sunday. We have a yard sale on Saturday and then Sunday, once the yard's clear, that. So all the decorations go up. I haven't figured out what I'm doing. We have, like, a ton of those, like, giant plastic skeletons. And every year I have them do something different. So I have to figure out what they're doing this year. So we had debates within the family because the kids have to

weigh into. And it's always like a medieval torture dungeon. Let's send them to prom. And so,

1:50.8

yeah, we have to figure out what our theme is this year. But I was getting ready to ask,

1:57.2

have you ever made it through like all night at the New Beverly, one of the all-nighters?

2:02.1

Because I think back when I used to do those, the best I could do was I'd make it about

2:07.0

halfway through the 2am one.

2:09.1

Yeah, the first few, when I started living even further away, I started to go, like I'd watch

2:15.5

go up till too easy.

2:16.8

And then at 2, whatever that movie was, it would depend had I seen it, had I not? And then if I watched that, I don't think in the last couple years I stayed past 4 or something, because I just want to make sure I'm driving and being safe. But prior to that, when I lived closer, I definitely did a couple, especially when they're at the Cine Family, when Phil used to program the Cinnah Family before being over at NewBiv, I definitely went to a couple old-nighters there that were great.
