In this special episode Kerry leads a roundtable discussion with Jenet Erickson and Byran Korth. They look at hos Moroni's teachings about how to help the Church nourish and flourish also applies to families and friends. They discuss how to nourish with the good word of God when people may not want to be nourished. They also look at how Moroni's teachings tie covenants to nourishing and coming to Christ. They talk about the importance of centering on and having faith in Christ, and how that brings hope to all of us regardless of circumstances. They address the importance of finding joy while loved ones struggle.

| 0:00.0 | Hi, and welcome to the Scriptures Are Real. We have a great episode this week. It's a little different than normal where it's a little bit of a roundtable. I think you're going to love it. But first of all, I wanted to talk to you about a couple of really important things. We're going to tell you in just a minute about a workshop I'm really excited about. But first of all, I want to invite you to consider giving to the Scriptures Are Real for giving Tuesday. We love doing this podcast with you. |
| 0:24.5 | I love the interaction I have with a guest, with the audience, through comments, all sorts of |
| 0:28.4 | other things. We love doing it. We believe we're helping and making a difference, but we can only |
| 0:33.0 | keep doing it if we have some financial help. It just costs a bit to do this. And really, without some |
| 0:38.7 | help, we're only a few months away from not being able to keep doing it. So we would love for you to |
| 0:43.0 | consider giving to us on Giving Tuesday. We are a tax-free charitable organization. This can be |
| 0:49.0 | counted as a way as you're looking at the end of the year to lower your tax burden, we would certainly |
| 0:54.9 | count. Anything you can do to help us on Giving Tuesday would be great. Just consider whatever |
| 1:02.3 | amount you could afford to help with. Go to the scriptures are real.org. That's the scriptures |
| 1:08.7 | are real.org. And there, you can find ways to be able to give it to us, |
| 1:14.2 | whether Venmo or all sorts of other ways. We hope you'll consider us so that we can keep doing this |
| 1:18.8 | together. Think of us on Giving Tuesday. Also, we want to tell you about a workshop that we're going to do. |
| 1:24.1 | We're going to do it twice to make it available to more people. I'm so excited about the upcoming Doctrine and Covenants Church History year, and there's so |
| 1:31.9 | many things that can help people understand it better, and we want to just kick it off in a big |
| 1:37.5 | way. So we're going to do a workshop that is kind of an all-day workshop on Saturday, |
| 1:44.0 | December 14th. |
| 1:45.9 | Then we'll do the same thing again. |
| 1:47.7 | For those who couldn't make it in the holidays, we're going to do it. |
| 1:51.0 | It'll be a Thursday night, Friday Day workshop. |
| 1:55.6 | That'll be January 2nd and 3rd, where we'll go Thursday evening and then about two-thirds of the day on Friday. |
| 2:03.7 | Both times, though, lunch will be included, and then afterwards we'll go out to dinner, |
| 2:07.9 | anyone who would like to go out and we can just continue the conversation. |
