So you know my head was completely swollen and I was unrecognizable.

My arms, I looked down at my arms, my left arm had and stuck wings.

I'm Jamie Bebe. And I'm Jake Duptula. On today's episode of Strictly Stocking,

we're chatting with Zoe Draunfield who was almost murdered at the hands of her stalker.

After she ended her relationship her ex started calling hundreds of times a day,

threatening suicide and showing up at her house at all hours.

Zoe repeatedly made complaints and reported her stalker to the police force.

And on one occasion two male officers turned up to her house and told her she should find

herself a nice boyfriend. When Zoe didn't give in to his attempts at reconciliation,

her stalker attacked her with a meat cleaver. He beat her until she was unrecognizable and almost

dead. After the story about Zoe's ordeal was published in the newspapers, she learned that her

stalker victimized 13 other women, including a police officer. She believed she would have been spared

the grueling eight hour attack if police had taken her seriously and she had known about his past

victims. Zoe and other anti-stocking allies have campaigned for the creation of a stalker database

to allow police forces to link to a stalker's previous offenses and flag them as dangerous.
