I got back from class one day and he was another picnic table so I'm thinking okay like good

maybe he's like finally gotten hint you know we're moving beyond this he clearly knows I'm not

interested and it's ever gonna happen and I get into my dorm and I get up to my room and he's

there waiting for me outside my dorm and at that point that really freaked me out.

I'm Jamie BB and I'm Jake Deptula on today's episode of Strictly Stalk and we're chatting with

Claire Gents we stalked by a fellow student while attending college. During the first few weeks of

her freshman year Claire was approached by a guy who told her he had a crush on her. After she

told him she wasn't interested he started texting her incessantly inviting her to hang out asking

her what she's been doing and telling her he didn't know what he'd do if they weren't together.

When she didn't respond he started waiting outside her dorm several times a week for her to return

from class. She tried to play Kate him so things wouldn't escalate until one day he made it inside

her dorm building to wait for her outside her room. He wanted her to let him inside so they could talk.

Claire turned to a campus advisor for support and worked to get him banned from her dorm building.

Now determined to address how women's safety is off and overlooked or discounted as being paranoid.

Claire created Perry a personal safety app designed to help women out of uncomfortable and

awkward situations especially before they have a chance to escalate into something far more serious.

As are we tell us a little bit about where you grew up going back I was born in Alexandria

Virginia which is kind of right outside DC but when I was five so around the time I was in Kindergarten

my family actually moved to Kansas City or for anyone listening that familiar with that area
