Summary

What does it mean to be a man after God’s own heart? Today, Lauren Atkinson is joined by faithful Join the Journey team member Seth Master as they study Psalm 101, which reveals what it means to be after God’s heart. Despite his flaws, David strove to walk in integrity and purity towards God and accepted God’s abundant mercy being poured into him when he failed. Even more importantly, this psalm points to the greater David, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

0:38.0	Seminary, and I'd love if you'd share a little bit more about what you're studying and what led
0:42.5	you to be there. Absolutely. So long story short, my wife and I were in Hawaii. God came knocking,
0:48.6	and I felt called by the Lord for Pastorial Ministry at 15. New seminary was going to be eventually, turned out to be
0:56.3	very soon. And under six months in marriage, he had us move out of Hawaii to Dallas to go to DTS
1:04.0	and studying to be a pastor. Right now I'm in a program there. Learning all the biblical languages,
1:10.7	pastoral theology.
1:11.9	So it's been a really, really rich time.
1:14.7	This semester, it's Hebrew.
1:16.7	So just finished Greek in the summer.
1:18.7	We're neck deep in Hebrew now.
1:20.5	So it's a rich, rich, beautiful language, but very, very difficult.
