Seth, did you see there was a recent UN report on climate change and land use?

I know it sounds really nerdy, but it had this really scary warning

that the soil is being eroded between 10 and 100 times faster than it's forming,

which has some pretty alarming implications for the world's food supply.

I did see that.

It's really a reminder that the climate crisis is about more than just extreme weather and rising sea levels.

It's going to end up being a food crisis, too.

Yes, and all this reminded me, this collision of food and climate, of a story from a bit over a century ago,

of a previous food crisis, which I think we can learn some lessons from today.
