Okay, here's the show.

On a recent visit to see Lucy, I tag along with her as she hops in her new car

to pick up her grandson,

Alexandra. Alexandra is nine, and getting the car has really changed the game for Lucy as a grandmother.

Now she can pick him up from school, bring him home, get some homework done. Other days, she takes

him to Cub Scouts or heads over to her daughter Sandra's to babysit, so Sandra can work late.

Sandra is a single mom, and so all this stuff is very helpful.

As Lucy has adjusted to a life outside of prison, she spent more and more time with Sandra.

That's new.

At first, Sandra came to visit Lucy in prison, and she would bring Alexandre.

But then I got mad at her because one day she didn't bring him.

And she said, well, mom, it's not a place for him.

So I wrote her a letter.
