Friends, hello and welcome to another after our session with Pines with Jack.

We have just finished up reading The Great Divorce, and we will be getting our next book

till we have faces.

We thought it would be great to start this season with an interview with Emily Laporte.

Emily recently finished her thesis in one of the primary books that she leveraged with

C.S. Lewis's Till We Have have faces, which ultimately means she spent many times

rereading this thing, digging into it, unpacking it, and we're going to take advantage

this interview to have her help us understand it before we go through it. So I'm excited to not

only learn about her journey with C.S. Lewis, but also what she learned from the book is have her help us

In a little story of how this came about, it was somewhat feels a bit like Divine Providence

because we were, it was christmas break and i went to

it's actually the first time i'd ever gone to daily mass at st francis de sales and so i'm there

and run into her and her mother and her mother is close friends with some of my extended family

and knows uh the family well and was that the first time I've actually ever met you?
