gathering of Zion in Missouri. We talked a little bit about the saints coming out there and kind of the

separation between Ohio and Missouri and some of the conflict that was

caused by the lack of communication.

That's when last we left the listeners.

And we also want to talk about what's going on with the Missourians as, you know,

it's still not ever a very large number, but in the relatively less populated western Missouri,

you know, every dozen Latter-day Saints that do show up is, does start to have some kind of

an effect.

So some of the newspapers in the area make their commentary about these Mormonites as they join. In fact,

that's the title of this article from September of 1831. So again, let's get our timeline

straight. Joseph Smith comes to Missouri in July of 1831 and declares this is the land of promise.

This is where we're going to build the new Jerusalem. And in September of 1831, the Missouri intelligentser says this, we learn from

the Painesville Gazette that this infatuated people are again in motion. In their own can't
